  • We can provide you with professional and tax-effective investment strategies to maximise your wealth.
  • As authorised investment advisers, we are well qualified to offer you specific, tax-effective investment advice to fast track your journey to financial security.
  • We arrange loans, leasing and hire purchase finance which are structured tax effectively.
We have advised many Australians on how to build their wealth and we would like to help you too.

Glenn Hughes & Associates are Members of Count Wealth Accountants. Count has been operating since 1980 and specialises in the provision of technical and research support and financial planning services to a network of over 450 accounting firms located throughout every state and territory of Australia.

This is a very different situation to that of a large proportion of financial advisers who are owned by product providers. The product providers expect their advisers to use their products regardless of the suitability of the product for the client. As Count is a network of Independently- owned accountant- based financial planners, Glenn Hughes & Associates can recommend products on the basis of what product is best for you, not us.

The Glenn Hughes & Associates Financial Planning Process

Our mission is to help our clients make informed financial decisions by explaining their options in language they can understand.

We do this in a three step process:
1. Financial Needs Analysis
2. Statement of Advice (SOA) Presentation
3. Ongoing Reviews

Step 1: Financial Needs Analysis

By analysing your financial needs, we help you determine where you are now financially and where you want to be in the future.

The financial plan that we create will show you how to achieve your financial goals effectively.

We conduct the first meeting FREE of charge to give you the opportunity to decide whether Glenn Hughes & Associates is the right firm to become your long-term financial planning partner and for you to ask any questions you may have. If you decide to proceed, we will briefly outline appropriate strategies likely to be recommended in the SOA, and why the strategies are appropriate for your needs.

Step 2: Statement of Advice (SOA) Presentation

We put together a personalised SOA that outlines how you can achieve your financial goals as soon as possible, regardless of what life throws at you. You will leave the next meeting (in which the SOA is presented to you) with a total understanding of our recommended strategy and why that strategy is the best one for you. We believe in educating our clients so that they always feel in control of their financial future. We will not implement any recommendation unless you understand and approve that particular course of action.

Step 3: Ongoing Reviews

In our ongoing review meetings, we review your investments, personal situation, financial conditions and your master plan to ensure that you remain on track to achieve your financial goals.

The Glenn Hughes & Associates Financial Planning process results in our clients always knowing:
  • exactly where they are now financially and where they will be in the future.
  • the consequences of their current spending habits: everyone knows that there is a trade-off between living for today and having wealth in the future. We will tell you in dollar terms the consequences of the lifestyle decisions you make today.
  • they are getting the best possible return on their investments and superannuation.
  • they are paying as little tax as possible.
  • their home loan will paid off as soon as possible.
  • their family will be looked after regardless of what happens to them.
  • they will be able to do what they want in life.
